THE PROBLEM
GKWS, a non-profit community school, needed a digital platform to showcase their work, attract donors, track student progress, and report community impact. Their existing web presence was minimal and couldn't handle donor management or event coordination.
UX RESEARCH & STRATEGY
Worked closely with the school's leadership to understand their communication needs with donors, parents, and the community. Key priorities: transparent impact reporting, easy donation flow, student success stories, and upcoming event visibility.
DECISION LOG
React SPA for a modern, fast-loading website. Node.js backend with MySQL for student and donor databases. AWS hosting for reliability. Firebase for real-time notifications on new donations and event registrations.
ARCHITECTURE
React frontend with dedicated sections: About, Programs, Impact, Donate, Events. Node.js REST API with MySQL for data management. Razorpay integration for donations. AWS S3 for media hosting. Firebase for notification push.
UI EXECUTION
Warm, inviting design with school colors and child-centric imagery. Donation flow: Choose cause → Select amount → Payment → Thank you with tax receipt. Impact dashboard showing funds raised, students supported, and community programs delivered with real metrics.
