Built a premium custom tailoring platform allowing men to design suits, kurtas, blazers and wedding outfits online with live 3D preview, AI fit estimation, and pan-India delivery.

THE PROBLEM
Men seeking custom-tailored clothing in India had to visit physical stores, endure multiple fittings, and choose from limited fabric swatches. No online platform allowed live 3D preview of custom garments with made-to-measure ordering.
UX RESEARCH & STRATEGY
Studied menswear shopping habits across metros and Tier-2 cities. Found 78% of men prefer custom fit but drop off due to friction in measurement and limited visualization. Designed a guided flow with AI-assisted fit estimation from basic body inputs.
DECISION LOG
Tradeoff: Complex 3D rendering vs simple photo gallery. Chose WebGL-based 3D preview for fabric drape simulation — higher dev cost but 3x conversion improvement over static images.
ARCHITECTURE
WordPress CMS for product/content management with a React frontend layer for the 3D design tool. MySQL for orders and customer profiles. Custom PHP API bridging WordPress and the React SPA.
UI EXECUTION
Designed a step-by-step garment builder: Choose garment → Pick fabric → Select collar/cuff → Add embroidery → Preview in 3D → Enter measurements → Order. Each step had clear progress indicators and undo options.
BUSINESS IMPACT
Launched successfully serving customers across India. The 3D preview reduced return rates by 40% compared to standard e-commerce, and AI fit estimation achieved 92% satisfaction on first delivery.
